A Review of The Boss BV9990 In Dash DVD Player

By Stacey Bentley

As technology advances, we are not only discovering thousands of new and innovative products being released at quick pace but also at affordable prices. When the first in-dash DVD players came out many years ago, they were being sold for $1000 and up. These days, nearly everyone can buy an in-dash DVD player for just a fraction of the price. In this article, we will be taking a deeper look at the Boss BV9990 in dash DVD player.

The Boss BV9990 has a terrific 1440 x 234 7-inch touchscreen. That feature itself is one reason we wanted to get a closer look at this DVD player. Besides having a sharp screen, the touchscreen itself can be changed vertically so that you can have the best viewing angle.

Now although this in-dash player plays DVDs, it does a lot more. You can apparently still play your average CDs but also you can play VCDs, SVCDs, and even MP4 files which makes this a very versatile unit. One other cool thing about the Boss BV9990 is that you can also plug in a USB thumb drive or an SD card that contain MP3 or WMA audio files and play music directly off them.

And of course, nowadays virtually everyone has a portable MP3 player. You can essentially attach any type of MP3 player to the front of this in-dash DVD player and play music straight from the device. Likewise, there is an input where you could connect an optional rear view camera to your automobile. So you can view what's happening behind your vehicle. There are numerous in car dvd players to select from and while this is excellent we do feel it's eclipsed by the Pioneer AVIC-X930BT. In an ever increasing market place this comes up with the goods and you can now find it reviewed here: Pioneer AVIC-X930BT Review

If you become tired of your own personal media, you can turn on the am/fm radio that comes with graphic equalizer display. And the entire player is powered with 85 watts of music enjoyment. Also, the Boss BV9990 player is very expandable, having front and rear RCA outputs as well as a subwoofer output. And one more thing that I find very neat, a full wireless remote control to control the device. It's a good feature particularly for those folks in the back seat who wish to control the audio experience. So no more whining or constant requests from the back of the car.

The Boss BV9990 player is a terrific in-dash player that boasts of a lot of power and loaded with great features. Also the fact that the Boss BV9990 player starts at $199, makes this a terrific purchase, even for those on a budget. So if you're on the hunt for a new car player or if you're just thinking about upgrading your unit, the Boss BV9990 is the ideal unit for you to consider.
